Often referred to as the “sister science” of yoga, Āyurveda is the indigenous health and wellness system of the Indian subcontinent, and is considered by many to be one of the most ancient forms of medicine in the world. The Sanskrit term Āyurveda means “knowledge of life”, and this science reveals how the entire web of life is intricately woven, interconnecting everything. Āyurveda brings us into deep relationship with ourselves, and into harmony with nature. Āyurveda awakens our natural intelligence and our primal urge to be well.

Āyurvedic science is a personalized, self-healing medicine that takes into account one's individual constitution (doṣa) and unique expression of the qualities (guṇa) of the 5 elements - ether, air, fire, water, and earth.

Āyurveda is a truly holistic approach to health and wellness, caring for the whole being - body, mind, and spirit. Developing simple daily self-care habits, movement, and spiritual practice and mindfully adjusting those daily routines to meet you where you are each day is the heart of Āyurvedic healing. With Ayurveda you learn how to recognize imbalances in your system and addresses them as they arise.
