Find Your Vibe sessions are an opportunity for you to sample health and wellness modalities that may be new to you. 

At its very core Animal Flow is a system that bridges the gap between all other physical practices, in pursuit of previously unknown levels of physical proficiency. It is built on four pillars: Connection (brain & body), Performance, Resilience, and Community.


Animal Flow is a very specific type of Quadrupedal Movement Training. But what is QMT? When broken down word for word, Quadrupedal indicates that there are 4 points of contact with the ground, Movement means we’re experiencing motion in multiple planes with variable loads, and Training is evidently indicating a type of practice. QMT is a relatively new area of research and most of the studies have utilized Animal Flow systems to study the effects of QMT on the body and brain.


The benefits uncovered from these studies range from notable increases in mobility, functional capacity, trunk activation, and even cognitive function. Just a small dose of weekly QMT has also been shown to decrease low back pain. Those in the community will also attest to it being FUN, but we don’t need research to determine that!

People often don't realize Tai Chi ( taijiquan ) is a form of Kung-fu. It is part of the Wudang branch known as the holistic Kung-fu styles. It is much like yoga in its intentional movements, posturing, and flow. We will learn a short form that expresses the connection between Kung-fu & Yoga. Tai Chi can be a very productive & meditative home practice, and is rated as the best workout for building stability, which all of us need more of as we age. All levels are welcome.

Another Kung-fu from the holistic Wudang Branch is Xingyiquan. This style has forms based on elements & animals, and is great for building energy, coordination, and clarity of intention. The translation of the name is " intention form boxing ", and the practice helps us put our intentions into form. Said another way, it helps us bring our intentions into the world by clearing up the pathways that help us coordination our intentions. I teach & practice for wellness, not violence. This is a meditative practice & all levels are welcome.

Known widely as the " Wind & Fire Wheels ", this weapon was all but lost to time until a Dr. Sun wrote a form for it in the last century. Originally from the twelfth century, Fire Wheels used to be used as throwing disk before forms were written with the weapon. We practice with wooden versions that are not sharpened, and practitioners are always surprised by the meditative quality of the form. In Kung-fu, weapon forms teach you to clear your mind, trust your memory, and build confidence that is hugely beneficial to mental health. This is essentially a Tai Chi form holding something in your hands. All levels are welcome.
